Meet Katie

I am passionate about helping children feel confident, empowered and successful in their learning.

I am a fully qualified teacher with a First Class Honours degree in Childhood and Youth Studies, alongside specialist qualifications in Autism, Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), Dyslexia, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH).

Throughout my career, I have supported children and families across both mainstream and specialist educational settings. I have also worked as a Specialist Advisory Teacher for the Local Authority, supporting schools, staff and families to better understand and meet the needs of children and young people.

Over the years, I have seen first-hand the powerful difference that personalised support, positive relationships and inclusive teaching approaches can make to a child's confidence, wellbeing and progress. This inspired me to create Tuition with Katie — a service dedicated to helping every child feel valued, capable and able to thrive.

Nothing is more rewarding than seeing a child begin to believe in themselves again, develop confidence in their abilities and experience success in ways they may not have thought possible.
